In this month’s final installment of “Meet the Team Tuesdays,” we have Salmiyeh!

Salmiyeh is a proud jersey girl and graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University. She aspires to be a pediatric dentist and you can usually spot her in the office managing all the social media, with an iced coffee in hand and trying to keep Dr. Manso on trend.  

What inspires you?

What inspires me is that we have the ability to artfully create a beautiful smile at your fingertips, which is something I one day hope to master, and to ultimately make oral healthcare accessible to all children in need. Also, my parents, the MPDC staff, my family and friends all serve as great role models that keep me inspired and smiling.

What makes you smile?

It’s amazing seeing the children after their dental visits at MPDC, as harrowing and stigmatized the visit to the dentist may be, because they always leave with a smile that is just so infectious! There is no better feeling than seeing the little ones laugh, smile, or even wanting to stay longer to play after their visit. I love that we can make that happen here.
